Paying for School Meals
School meals must be paid for in advance. A text reminder for balances will be issued daily to parents/carers to support students in ensuring their account is in credit.
All students have a daily limit of £4.00,which is enough to cover the purchase of a meal deal and additional drinks and snacks. If you would like to increase your child’s spend limit, please contact [email protected] with the name of your child, their year group and the spend limit you would prefer. This spend limit will not exceed £10.00 per day.

Free School Meals
All those students already claiming FSM, the FSM allowance will e added to the new School Gateway App on a daily basis, as normal. Student entitled to Free School Meals will be able to carry forward any unused credit from the £2.60 allowance until Friday of the same week, when any credit will return to zero.
If you have changed your email address, or have issues with accessing the app, please email [email protected] with your name and your child’s full name and date of birth.
You’re eligible for Free School Meals if you receive any of the following benefits:
- Income based jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16.190
- Working Tax Credit run-on-paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working tax Credit
- Universal Credit – if you apply on or after 1st April 2018 your household income must be less than £7.400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals , they’ll remain eligible until they finish the phase of schooling (primary or secondary) they’re in on 31st March 2026.
