We have a dedicated team here with a strong commitment and pride in providing high-quality teaching and learning, supported by first-class care and guidance for students.
Our sixth form students have a seperate section of the school, which contains a study room where there is a more relaxed feel, a work-room where students can work independently or in groups and this is supervised at all times and based in the school library. Students are provided with their own chrome book to enable them to better support their learning.
Many departments have an open-door policy and students are encouraged to spend time in these areas to receive additional support and access subject-specific resources.
We provide all our sixth formers with a rich support offer. In Year 12, every subject provides additional support sessions weekly to allow students the opportunity to consolidate and extend their classroom learning.
We also value the impact of peer-mentoring. Students in Year 12 are encouraged to help students in Years 7 and 8 with reading and home learning through one to one support.
All students, and parents, receive regular reports detailing progress and targets allowing for all interested parties to work together to support students in reaching their full potential.
