We are delighted to congratulate our Year 13 students on their exceptional achievements and the hard work, determination, and resilience they have demonstrated throughout their studies. One in every three grades awarded this year is at a B or above, reflecting strong attainment across all subjects. Our students' success reflects not only their academic ability but also their commitment to achieving their goals, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
This year's results have enabled students to progress to a wide range of university courses and career pathways, demonstrating the breadth of talent across our Sixth Form. Among the many outstanding achievements, we would like to highlight the following students:
Isobel D achieved an exceptional A in Biology, B in Chemistry, and B in English Literature. Isobel will be continuing her studies at Newcastle University, where she will study Medicine.
Katie W secured an impressive A in English Literature, B in Psychology, and B in Sociology. She has earned a place at Newcastle University to study Psychology.
Daniel W will also be progressing to the Newcastle University to study Mechanical Engineering, following excellent results in Biology, Maths and Business that have secured his place on this highly competitive course.
Amelia E will progress to Durham University to study Primary Education, having achieved an impressive 128 UCAS points across Psychology, Health & Social Care and Sociology.
Sophie N will also progress to study Primary Education at Northumbria University, having achieved well in Psychology, Sociology and Health & Social Care.
Lucas G achieved strong grades in Maths, Chemistry and Psychology, and progresses to Sunderland University to study Pharmacy.
Our vocational students have also achieved exceptional success this year, results which included:
Victor E achieving Distinction* in Business Studies and Sport, an outstanding set of results that reflects his dedication and versatility across a range of disciplines, and allows him to progress to his first choice University of Northumbria to study Sports Coaching.
Nathan R also secured two Distinction* grades in Business and Sport, enabling him to gain a place on a Sports Science course at Edge Hill University.
These achievements are a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our students, the unwavering support of their families, and the commitment of our staff, who have worked tirelessly to help every student achieve their potential.
As our students move on to university, employment and further training, we wish them every success in the future.
